How will health care be affected by legalizing marijuana?

Wednesday, December 23rd, 2009

Hey everyone. I need help on answering this question: How will health care access, cost, and quality be affected by the passage or defeat of a bill legalizing marijuana. The bill is AB 390, but i just need some answers on the affect of health care by legalizing marijuana or not. I’ve done some research but I need a little more. Thanks.

If marijuana was made legal and the government produced and taxed it, the revenue could cover a huge portion of the health care budget. The government could mass produce many different types of weed and at such a low cost because the ‘danger’ aspect would be non-existent; then then they could tax it heavily and make it cost the same it does now plus make billions a year that could be used to support health care. Not only that but it would save the DEA and many police forces and other government agencies billions just in time spent and effort wasted arresting harmless weed smokers. In New York city in 2008 it cost them 90 million dollars to arrest and detain people possessing minor amounts of weed and I can think of many better uses for that kind of money, one of them being health care.

There wouldn’t be more people using if it was made illegal because if people want to smoke weed they are going to do so anyways, but I major difference could be that less young people would smoke it because if it was legal it would be a less ‘rebellious’ drug.

Instead the USA has treated marijuana the same way they treat most things; by declaring war on it, hence the War on Drugs.

What do you look for in anti-aging creams?

Wednesday, December 23rd, 2009

I am 26 and need to start using an anti-wrinkle or anti-aging cream. What do I need to look for when comparing products? Does skin type matter? Do combination products work? How do I know which one might be right for me? I do not wear a lot of make-up or products in general. Does this matter?

Winna,

Let me say first, good on you for getting started with this. You probably are far from wrinkles, fine lines and age spots. However, they say you have to start you if you want to "kick aging in the butt" later down the road. Look for products that include a high amount of active ingredients. Natural ingredients are always better than artificial and lab produced. I have read a lot on anti-aging and with my sensitive skin I have to be careful what I get. I tried out a few, and found Lifecell skin cream to work pretty good. Here is a link to more information if you want: http://bestantiagingwrinklecreamreviews.com/ The good thing about this cream is that it did not react with my skin at all – no burning or itching.

What opportunities are there for Sports Science graduates in the film indstry?

Friday, December 18th, 2009

I am planning to go to university next year to study Sport Science. I have always enjoyed this subject area, however i have a passion to work in the film industry. If i study this, will it close doors to working in film? What opportunities are there for me to work in the film industry with a Sports Science degree?

Thanks

Perhaps in a limited way – such as fitness training actors.

Lou Ferrigno for example has trained many stars.

Arnold became an actor and governor – but not because of a "degree" – more because of his perfect physique and massive steroid use!

I found this:
A sports science degree will grant you access to both the sport and leisure and the education sectors. Both offer huge opportunities, the health and fitness industry alone has plenty of potential for your skills. Whichever sector you decide to pursue, be sure to build on your management and leadership qualities – you’ll be needing them.

Becoming a fitness instructor or personal trainer is an attractive prospect, especially if you are a health nut, as you will be working in an environment that suits you. Depending on your specific degree, you may need to take additional qualifications (such as REPS) to start out. This is a profession for self starters and tends to be in the private sector – within a health-centre/club – or in the public sector – within recreational facilities/sport centres. Initial access to a large potential client base is paramount to success and therefore it is important that you have the drive to continually promote your services. You could choose to be freelance, but that requires a lot of networking.

Sports coaching and consulting roles are also prime areas where your degree will prove beneficial. Sports development officer and outdoor pursuits positions are available – they often involve working to organise events and activities for the benefit of particular groups within a community such as the elderly, disabled, and youth groups.

Perhaps you want a less physically demanding role. Although it requires more qualifications, a sports therapist position may be suitable to rehabilitate athletes back to health. Similarly, expect to go back to the classroom to become a sports psychologist focusing on the mental, rather than the physical, processes that create winning teams, coaches and athletes. Working in nutrition and health promotion are other options to consider.

To get involved in the education sector, a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) to teach Physical Education is the most popular way in. With further study, you could even become a university or higher education lecturer in sports/management science.

HGH for females looking to get a hard body?

Friday, December 18th, 2009

Are any females here taking HGH. Im not looking for weight loss just for a toned/ rock hard body. Im on birth control, I currently take anadrox and renewal HGH. Im thinking about taking hgh injections and i dont want to get man features.

renewal HGH is a complete waste of money. GH releaser’s do not work, they didn’t when they first came out in the 80′s and the don’t work now.

a sure fire way to increase GH output which is free is to perform sprints 2-3x a week. anytime you exercise at maximal effort GH release is increased. all you need to do is warm up for 5 minutes and perform 10 all out 100m sprints. the easiest thing to do is run a 100m then walk a 100m and repeat until you have completed 10 sprints. warm down for some light cardio for about 5-10 minutes then stretch after.

real GH will run you about $1,000 a month and it not easy to get. GH does not cause viralization in women unlike androgenic steroids.

What affordable health insurance is the best for me?

Friday, December 18th, 2009

I will be divorced in 2 months and will have to find my own health insurance. I have been with Anthem for 14 years and have no health problems and no medications except 1 blood pressure pill a day. I am waiting for a quote from Anthem for a single policy but I am afraid it will not be affordable. Thanks for all the help I can get!

What would happen if major sports were targeted by terrorist?

Tuesday, December 15th, 2009

If a terrorist group decided to target America’s sports, what would be the result?

How would this affect our society and the future of sporting events?

As a fellow golfer, I’m guessing we don’t have to worry about this one, my friend. Let’s go play and let those people who congregate by the thousands in confined spaces, watching rather than playing, figure this one out.

Can they detect steroid use or hgh use by giving a hair sample?

Tuesday, December 15th, 2009

If it can be detected through a hair sample dating back to how many years somebody is accused of using these products, will tests reveal usage or non-usage. If so, players should prove their innocence by having a procedure done.

There really aren’t any definitive tests in place yet, thats the major problem here. Baseball really needs to get its act in gear, and quickly!!
